On Saturday 25 July, at 10.30 pm on the AMUNA esplanade, we will be able to enjoy the play ‘Eirenê, under the canopy of the sky’, a family-friendly theatre-circus show in which, through the world of clowning, we will reflect on the human condition in extreme situations and the importance of unity and cooperation in overcoming them.
Through humour and emotion, the show conveys a message of peace based on the premise that ‘in adversity, there is always an opportunity’. A show for the whole family where humour and playfulness are presented as a circus set against the backdrop of a war.
The play was written by Marisa Ibáñez, who has over 25 years’ experience in the performing arts; it was produced and created by Sergio Chaves and Marisa Ibáñez, co-directors of the La Troupe Malabó Theatre and Circus Company; artistic direction is by Quique Montoya, an artist with 30 years’ experience in theatre, clowning and other performing arts disciplines.
