Alto Palancia Region
The Alto Palancia region is located in the southern interior of the Castellón province, in the upper reaches of the Palancia river, which crosses it in a NW-SE direction, forming a natural path between the Valencian Community and Aragón.
It is made up of 27 villages with beautiful landscapes, a rich gastronomy and a vast cultural heritage that constitutes a great wealth and offer for the enjoyment of the visitor.
In the region there are two Natural Parks: the `Sierra de Espadán´ and the `Sierra Calderona´, where you can find places of great scenic and environmental interest. There is an abundance of springs, some of which have medicinal properties, in truly unique spots of indescribable beauty.
The Salto de la Novia area in Navajas is one of them, with abundant water that we see in waterfalls, fountains, and the Palancia river, creating lush riverside vegetation and Mediterranean forest.
